That was Sommernachtstraum 2026
A Festival for All the Senses
Music. Festival vibes. Fireworks show—The Sommernachtsraum was the highlight of Munich’s summer, transforming the Olympic Park into a magical oasis, just as it does every year.
At Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz and on the peninsula, concert performances, street food, and a summery atmosphere came together for the magical highlight of the evening: the grand fireworks display over the Olympic Lake, precisely choreographed to the music.
A fireworks show of emotions
As soon as the sun set, the sky above the Olympic Park took center stage: the emotional finale of Sommernachtstraum, the pyrotechnics show.
A total of 30 effect stations were arranged in a giant triangle on the Olympic Lake. This structure gave rise to an impressive light display, while the Olympic Hill in the background expanded the backdrop in both height and depth. 150 state-of-the-art LED drones complemented the pyrotechnics as a precise visual element, forming complex geometric figures in the night sky.
The soundtrack was both the rhythm and the soul of the show. With a mix of pop and rock anthems—including songs like “Skyfall” by Adele, “Titanium” by David Guetta, and “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay—the production became a truly spine-tingling experience.
The sound of summer
What makes the Summer Night's Dream so special? It's a festival for all generations. Here, pop music meets electronic sounds.
Every year, the Olympic Park becomes a stage for unforgettable live moments and an open-air experience that engages all the senses.
